Siege X players complain of bot infestation in Dual Front

Have you ever seen players moving randomly in Dual Front? Well, that's a bot.

Dual Front bots

Almost two months after Dual Front's release alongside Rainbow Six Siege X, the opinions about the 6v6 game mode are mixed. While some believe Dual Front is a refreshing game mode which offers a unique Siege experience, some other players think the game mode has many flaws, which make the experience not worth their time. Be as it may, Dual Front is there, and some players have been loving it so far.

While the truth is that no game mode is perfect, and Dual Front isn't an exception, Ubisoft may be in front of the toughest challenge since the launch of Dual Front, and that's the increasing number of bots. The first complains happened on Reddit a few weeks ago, but the situation is now unbearable.

Dual Front bots

Although Dual Front is supposedly a 6v6 game mode, the truth is that's no longer the case as every team has between one and even four bots on each roster. These bots just stay on a safe zone and move around randomly so the game doesn't kick them out for being afk. The reason behind this is unkown, but these players probably do this to quickly upgrade their accounts to level 50 to have access to Ranked. Some of these may be sold to cheaters, which wouldn't help the current cheating situation in Siege.

Based on the screenshot taken in one of my Dual Front matches, a quick look at their accounts on Tracker.GG is enough to see that these accounts have an extremely poor K-D differential but have played an average of 50 Dual Front maps. Logically, we should expect Ubisoft to deal with these accounts and ban them as soon as possible.

Dual Front is a game mode with plenty of potential, but if Ubisoft allows players to use it for these purposes, the situation and the game mode itself will become really poor in very near future. Unfortunately, this is probably one of the smallest problems for Ubisoft nowadays, especially considering the current cheating situation in Siege, and the amount of exploits found by players since the release of Siege X. Hopefully, the team can fix these sooner than later.
