During the Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase celebrated in Atlanta, Georgia, Ubisoft has finally released the first details about the game's upcoming patch. Plain and simple, Rainbow Six Siege X is expected to transform how the game is played.

While many changes are expected to be announced today, Ubisoft has started the Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase unveiling Rainbow Six Siege's first-ever 6v6 game mode: Dual Front.

In short terms, Dual Front is a 6v6 game mode that will take place on the biggest map in the game. It will be divided into two lanes and both teams will be expected to attack and defend simultaneously.

In Dual Front, each team will own three sectors, which will be located on their respective blue lane. Meanwhile, the enemy sectors will be located on their respective red lane. To take control of each enemy sector, players will have to plant and protect a defuser. After doing so, that sector will become part of their respective blue lane and will be able to move to the next sector.

With Dual Front merging together attacking and defending duties, Ubisoft has decided to let players, for the first time, combine attacker and defender operators. For instance, a team could pair a Smoke with a Glaz or even protect an active defuser from the floor below with Pulse's scan. The combinations are infinite!

In other words, this is not about attacking or defending: this is about winning. It's about learning from every experience, trying to place the gadgets to counter your enemies, and most importantly, properly pair both attackers and defenders to get the most out of your loadouts.

Additionally, this is not just about taking map control but also about saving Dokkaebi. The South Korean can be rescued from the map as a helicopter will approach the area to take her. The team that gets her out will get extra points, so you better try your best!
