What teams could qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka this week? (Oct. 5 - Oct. 11)

It's a huge week in the road to Osaka.

FaZe Clan Rainbow Six Siege

The BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be played from November 6 to November 15 in Osaka, Japan. It will be the second and final Major of the season and the last international event before the Six Invitational 2027. It will also be the teams' last chance to obtain SI Points to qualify for Rainbow Six Siege's world championship.

This week is crucial to know how the BLAST R6 Major Osaka will be shaped as 17 of the 20 teams involved will qualify for the event in the next few days.

Here's a look at all the tournaments that will be active this week:

Europe and MENA League

The two very first teams to qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka will come from today's matches at the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 2 Playoffs.

The first clash will be between Team Falcons and Geekay Esports. So far this season, both teams have met thrice and have a head-to-head record of two wins for the Falcons and one for Geekay. Their last encounter was last week when Team Falcons claimed an 8-6 win against the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 semifinalists.

Team Falcons are the favorites to win today's match after topping the group phase standings. Whilst a victory against Geekay Esports would qualify the Falcons for Osaka, a win today would also qualify the team for the Six Invitational 2027—joining FaZe Clan and DarkZero Esports.

The second and final match of the day will be between G2 Esports and Virtus.pro. Despite a slow start to the stage, G2 Esports bounced back. The samurai have won their last seven matches, a run that includes a 7-5 win against the Bears. Their place on the standings combined with their recent results makes G2 Esports the favorite to win today's game. Meanwhile, although Virtus.pro beat Team Falcons, Shifters, and Twisted Minds in their last five games, their defeats against G2 Esports and Rebels Gaming are still too fresh to be ignored.

Similar to Team Falcons, an hypothetical G2 Esports win today would see the samurai earning an extra 460 SI Points—moving from eighth to the top four in the global standings with 1,915 SI Points.

The remaining two qualified teams from the Europe and MENA League will come from the matches played on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Twisted Minds and Shifters are the teams that are already waiting for an opponent in the Lower Bracket. If everything goes as the odds indicate, Twisted Minds will play against Virtus.pro whilst Shifters will face off against Geekay Esports.

North America League

Four teams from the BLAST R6 North America League 2026 will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka this week. The first two will clinch their spots on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

The first match will be between Cloud9 and DarkZero Esports. Although Cloud9 finished the group stage with eight wins and only one defeat, beating the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions in a BO3 series will be a completely different challenge. No matter what happens, this is a crucial week for Cloud9; the team is one BO3 win away from reaching its first international event since taking part in RE:L0:AD in May 2025.

The defeated side will fall to the Lower Bracket and will have to play against Spacestation on Friday, October 6, 2026. The winner of the series will be North America's third team to qualify for Osaka.

Meanwhile, the second match will be between Shopify Rebellion and 100 Thieves. Both teams finished in second and third place with 18 and 17 points, respectively, meaning this game is expected to be extremely close. If Shopify Rebellion beat 100 Thieves, the team will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka and the Six Invitational 2027. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves are one BO3 win away from qualifying for their first international Rainbow Six Siege event.

Interestingly enough, if 100 Thieves lose to Shopify Rebellion, they will have to play against M80 in the Lower Bracket for the very last spot available in the region to be in Osaka. This is ironic as M80 narrowly clinched a playoff spot after their 7-2 victory against the thieves on the final day of group stage action.

South America League

Four teams from the BLAST R6 South America League 2026 will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka this weekend, as the games in the league are always played on Saturday and Sunday.

FaZe Clan and Black Dragons will kick off the playoffs. Despite losing to Black Dragons yesterday, the back-to-back world champions and Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 winners FaZe Clan are the favorites to take the win and the region's first awarded spot. Shortly after, Team Liquid Alienware and FURIA will meet in the second playoff game of the day. Fans are expecting a tough game there.

On Sunday, Fluxo W7M and LOS will have their chance to qualify for Osaka. Fluxo W7M will play against the loser of the series between Black Dragons and FaZe Clan, whereas LOS will play against either Team Liquid Alienware or FURIA.

CN League

In China, All Gamers and EDward Gaming are one BO3 win away from reaching the BLAST R6 Major Osaka. Their games will be played on Saturday, October 10. All Gamers, who won eight of their nine group stage matches, will play against the winner of the series between TYLOO and One Coin. Meanwhile, EDward Gaming will play against the winner of the clash between KINGZERO eSports and LGD Gaming. The winners will secure their presence in Osaka.

One day later, on October 11, 2026, the losers of the first four Upper Bracket matches will clash in the first round of the Lower Bracket. The winners will complete the Top 4 in China's second stage. Keep in mind that only the first seed will directly move to Osaka's Phase 2.

Oceania League

Oceania's second stage will conclude this week as only the winner will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka. Unlike in Salt Lake City, Oceania's representative will start the action in Osaka from Phase 2.

While ENTERPRISE Esports are the favorites to represent the region in Osaka, the truth is that all the teams involved in the playoffs are very close to each other. ENTERPRISE Esports and the Chiefs finished with 16 points each, whilst 7VEN and Man eSports LFO gathered 14 and 13 points, respectively.

The only team from Oceania that could qualify for the Six Invitational 2027 this week is ENTERPRISE Esports, who currently sit in third place in the global standings with 1,760 SI Points.
