Season 5 is coming to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, and it could be the last season in the current cycle before all the attention goes over to the next game. However, that doesn't mean players should expect less content.

While we wait for any announcements regarding the additions coming to the free title, here is everything we know and some of our expectations.

When is Warzone Season 5 coming out?

According to the battle pass timer, Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 7th, at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM BST).

PC players will be able to preload the update a few days before, and console preload should start a few hours before the season drops. The new season should last around eight weeks.

What can we expect from Season 5?

For starters, Season 5 will add all the basic content for every season: weapons, operators, attachments, and a new battle pass full of different cosmetics.

Given that Black Ops 7 is coming, we are not expecting a new map to be added at this stage of the current cycle. Instead, we believe changes are coming to Verdansk. One thing we haven't seen from the first iteration of Verdansk is access to the Stadium, meaning this could finally be added in this season.

In regards to cosmetics and collaborations, the first collaboration for Season 5 has already been announced, and it will be with the movie franchise I Know What You Did Last Summer.

The saga's main antagonist, the Fisherman, will be added as a new operator. At this point, it's unclear if the slasher is the only addition from this collaboration or if we will see more cosmetics themed around the franchise's items/characters.

Once we have more information, we will update this article and add all the details so you have a clear idea about what's coming in this new season.
