Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play game, so fans are always curious about getting Units for free. Normally, fans would have to cough up real money to get Units, but there are ways to get them without paying. These alternate ways are somewhat necessary, considering how great some of the cosmetics are in this game

Fans should know these methods are limited and can’t be spammed for the game’s lifespan. While some of them can get refilled during new seasons, the main method will be paying real money. However, for those who want that Psylocke outfit, here’s what players need to know.

So, without further ado, here’s how to get Marvel Rivals Units for free.

Complete achievement tracks

The easiest way to earn Units in Marvel Rivals is by completing some of this shooter’s achievement tracks. As players complete achievements, the tracker goes up and more points are gathered. Players can find the achievements by going to their avatar profile and clicking the achievements section.

Each track has a different set of rewards and you can check them out by clicking the gift icon on the gray bar, to the right of the achievement points count. Some tracks feature Units as rewards as you can see below.

Achievements can range from sending messages to friends or killing players with a specific character. Some of these can also be finished by reading the in-game lore pieces, which have intrigued plenty of players. New achievements are also added per season, with Season 1 adding fresh ones for Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Battle Pass progress

Marvel Rivals is still a free-to-play shooter, so progressing through the Battle Pass is another way to earn Units. Players will be able to gain Units by going through the free Battle Pass and the Luxury version, which needs to be paid for. Luckily, the Luxury Battle Pass has no time limit, so players who buy them can earn all of the rewards with no penalty.

Fans who have been hardened by other live-service games will be used to grinding through the Battle Pass. Rivals is a really fun game, so players won’t mind going through the Battle Pass in order to get some sweet rewards. Paying up for Units is still easier, but this is something most players can do.

Complete events

Whether it’s Daily Challenges or Season Events, Units are always a prize that can be gained in Marvel Rivals. Once again, this is just a way for fans to keep playing the game and that’s a good thing. Events can be seen in the home menu with banners like "Family Affairs" that can be seen right away.

Because seasons always change, there’s always a way to earn more Units in the game. Season 1 just launched, so players should be able to get extra Units every three months. They might not be the best way to get these Units, but it’s better than nothing.

That’s how you can get free Units in Marvel Rivals. For more on Rivals, check out what we know about Professor X and Cyclops coming to the game.
