Players have reported that Destiny 2 servers were down randomly in late March 12 and early March 13 for other regions. It comes at a very busy time as plenty of new content has dropped with Episode: Heresy Act 2.
Among the new content available is the Guardian Games, which features weapons such as the Keraunios Arc trace rifle as well as the return of the Allstar Vector Skimmer for players to obtain in case they missed it last year.
On top of that, players can now progress through the Dyadic Ascension quest step 5, which will allow them to further upgrade the Barrow-Dyad exotic SMG. Of course, you need to complete the Taken Path quest and Derealize exotic mission to even get to that point, so it's a bit of a grind, but worth every second.
How to fix the Destiny 2 servers not available error

Bungie has yet to address the issue and players are wondering how to fix the "servers unavailable" problem that's preventing them from logging in to Destiny 2.
Sadly, there's nothing you can do on your end. That's right, no fancy workarounds or confusing troubleshoots, simply close the game and re-open it. Bungie has previously stated that restarting the game might solve the issue in case servers are back up but you're still getting the error.
This fix might help you whether you're on console or PC. If you're on PC, it's worth mentioning they don't want you to completely close your launcher (Steam, Microsoft Store, or EGS), simply close the game and try again.
While far from an ideal solution, and one that may not end up working, at least Bungie is being communicative with the player base, reassuring them the devs are hard at work trying to fix a lot of the issues players may encounter during this launch period.
Speaking of which, you may also run into other notable error codes that become quite common when a new DLC arrives, including error code Weasel and error code CAT, so be sure to check out our guides on how to solve those as well.
