Riot Games has announced the decision to add Bind, alongside the brand-new map from Act 4, to Valorant's competitive map rotation, replacing Split and Pearl, which had been reintroduced to the rotation with the release of patch 9.08.

Valorant Season 2025 Act 4 map rotation changes

As already revealed by Riot Games, Valorant's Act 4 will start on June 24, 2025. The release of a brand-new competitive map is the main attraction of the game's upcoming patch.

While its name hasn't been revealed at the time of writing this article, players are extremely excited about its release as this will be the first competitive map released to Valorant since June 2024, when Abyss was introduced with patch 8.11.

Regarding Valorant's new map, it's also worth mentioning that during the first two weeks of Act 4, players will lose half of the usual RR decrease in the case of a defeat.

This decision was made as it can be slightly unfair for players to be thrown to a new map, which is completely new to everyone, on a competitive playlist. This change will allow players to slowly adapt to the new map, learning calls and lineups to use in the future.

Last but not least, it's important to mention that Valorant players will be able to see the new map in action for the first time in a showmatch that will take place before the finals of Masters Toronto on June 22, 2025.

Bind is an already well-known map for Valorant players. It was removed from the competitive map rotation with the release of patch 10.00 and hasn't been brought back since.

Right now, it feels like the players have welcomed Riot Games' decision to add a new map and Bind to the competitive map pool. However, a lot of them are already asking for a Breeze return, a map that has been out of the pool since June 2024.
