Marvel Rivals Season 3 is fast approaching. Launching this July 11, Season 3 introduces a new set of characters, including Jean Grey’s Phoenix and Blade. Phoenix will arrive first, while Blade is set to join in Season 3.5 sometime in August.

As expected with a new season, fresh team-ups are also making their debut. Marvel Rivals and NetEase seem hard at work crafting new combinations that are sure to shake up the ever-changing meta.

What are the new Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals Season 3?

Two brand-new team-ups are being added: Primal Flame and Ever-Burning Bond.

Primal Flame is a fiery collaboration between Phoenix and Wolverine. Phoenix grants Logan a blazing aura, and when he uses Feral Leap, enemies caught in his path will suffer burning damage.

Ever-Burning Bond is the latest team-up between Human Torch and Spider-Man. As two of the youngest heroes on the roster, this partnership carries emotional weight. Human Torch supercharges Spider-Man’s Spider-Tracers, giving them a burning effect that can one-shot squishy targets with the right combo.

What are the reworked Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals Season 3?

Season 3 also reworks two existing team-ups: Symbiote Shenanigans and Stark Protocol.

Symbiote Shenanigans originally involved Venom and Jeff the Land Shark. Now, Hela joins in with her Soul Drainer, adding a pulling symbiote bond that makes the team-up even deadlier.

Stark Protocol, which used to be just between Ultron and Iron Man, now includes Squirrel Girl. Iron Man equips her with a nanotech gauntlet topped with a squirrel that homes in on enemies and deals massive damage. According to NetEase, the squirrel is completely safe.

What team-ups are being removed in Marvel Rivals Season 3?

Two team-ups are getting the axe: Storming Ignition and ESU Alumnus.

Storming Ignition, between Storm and Human Torch, was a powerful combo that could melt foes within seconds. Meanwhile, ESU Alumnus, featuring Squirrel Girl and Spider-Man, was widely seen as one of the weakest team-ups, so its removal won’t be missed.
