Season 3 Roadmap
NetEase has unveiled a new roadmap detailing the events and skins coming to Season 3 of Marvel Rivals, with Blade coming this August 8.

Season 3 Roadmap
Who is the new playable hero in Season 3?
Season 3 will bring two new characters into the fray: Jean Grey as The Phoenix and Blade. The first one to join the title will be The Phoenix, as the character will be added at the start of Season 3.
This is the trailer for the new Duelist, where we get a good look at her fiery abilities:
You can check out more about The Phoenix's abilities and skins in this article.
On the other hand, Blade is set to join the game once the Season 3.5 update drops. The update is expected to arrive sometime in August, as the game will now adopt a new format and drop one new character each month, starting with this season.
What is the new map in Marvel Rivals Season 3?
As expected, a new map called Klyntar: Celestial Husk will be added to the game. Following the game's narrative, this map takes place in another region of the planet of the Symbiotes, where the remains of a Celestial, who was killed by Knull, lie in the area after they plummeted from orbit.
This is a Domination map, and you can take a look at some of its areas in the following trailer:
Domination is a game mode where players fight to control an objective until the score hits 100%. This new map is distinct from the existing Klyntar map, which revolves around escorting or preventing the rebirth of Knull’s Essence.
Team-Ups and new abilities
The season adds two new Team-Up abilities: Primal Flame and Ever-Burning Bond. Primal Flame requires Phoenix and Wolverine on the team, while Burning Flames requires The Human Torch and Spider-Man.
With Primal Flame, Wolverine's Feral Leap ability is enhanced and adds a burning effect that causes damage over time to nearby enemies and adds lifesteal to all his abilities.
With Ever-Burning Bond, Spider-Man now shoots flaming webs, which deals area damange and applies a Burn-Tracer.
Apart from the new Team-Ups, The Thing will also receive a brand-new ability called Battle Blitz. This ability will allow him to make a leap and catch characters mid-air to bring them down.
An upcoming team-up ability for Human Torch and The Thing is also scheduled to come out this July 25.
