Marvel Rivals is preparing for the arrival of Season 3 on July 11, with fans pumped to use Phoenix and Blade. There are also going to be a ton of new costumes that players will be able to earn or buy, which always excites fans. In a recent Dev Vision video, fans spotted that a new event is coming.
Naturally, this is an event that will have a new skin for Storm that fits the current Symbiote theme of this season. The folks at NetEase Games have already teased symbiote versions of Squirrel Girl, Jeff the Shark, and Rocket, so Storm getting one is far from surprising. Still, the fact that it’s an event dedicated to this character has players curious about how to earn it.
How to get the Symbiote Storm skin in Marvel Rivals?
Players will likely have to accomplish various tasks or challenges from an upcoming Season 3 event, like taking or dealing damage and healing a certain amount of HP, to unlock the new Symbiote Storm skin.
This has been done before with previous free skin events, so expect to keep playing until this skin is yours. Players might be forced to try out characters they aren’t familiar with, as these tasks will make them do offensive and defensive skills.
When does the Symbiote Storm event in Marvel Rivals start?
At the time of writing, no release date for this event has been announced. However, it should begin not long after the release of Season 3.
Knowing NetEase, there’s a good chance that this event will unlock at the start of this new season. Storm has become a fan-favorite character in the game, so fans will be more than willing to participate in this event for another skin. This is very good news for Storn mains who just want something for their favorite X-Men character.
Will the Symbiote Storm skin be free in Marvel Rivals?
It appears that the Symbiote Storm skin is free for anyone to try and unlock. This means players won’t have to pay extra like they did for Magneto’s Binary Sword skin.
Free skins like this are always given at the start of a new Rivals season. We’ve seen Scarlet Witch get one during the Hellfire Gala, and Hawkeye also got one when Ultron arrived. It’s a good way to keep fans playing this addictive shooter, and we’re sure many players will work to get that Storm skin.
