Leaks for the next Call of Duty game, currently rumored to be Black Ops 7, continue to appear online as players are actively on the lookout for the first official teasers now that we are getting to this year's mid-point.
This time, dataminers found wall-running mechanics within the Call of Duty HQ app, which has the base game files used by all the modern titles. User viipeter_ on X even posted the following video, where we can see this mechanic in action in Black Ops 6:
As you can see, wall-running looks the same as it looked when Black Ops 3/Infinite Warfare was around, with the only difference being the lack of jetpack movement.
Wall running will join the Omnimovement mechanics introduced in Black Ops 6, which is also rumored to come back for this year's title without any major changes.
With rumors about Uplink potentially returning for this game's multiplayer, the addition of wall running would make total sense, as it would allow for the game mode to work.
It is unclear if the wall-running mechanic will be present in all three major modes (Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies), so we will have to wait to know that for sure.
