Team Liquid have revealed the Blue Cavalry's Valorant IGL Ayaz "nAts" Akhmetshin is "likely" going to miss out on the team's debut in the Valorant Masters Toronto. The Europeans' first match in the competition will be against China's second seed Bilibili Gaming.

According to Team Liquid's post on their official social media channels, the Russian is "unable to travel with the team to Toronto and will likely miss our first match."

Due to nAts' absence, the Blue Cavalry will play against Bilibili Gaming with Erik "penny" Penny as a stand-in. The Canadian recently competed in the Valorant Challengers 2025 North America Stage 1 with YFP and is better known for his time at Version1, with whom he played in North America's top flight and even competed internationally at the Valorant Masters Reykjavík 2021.

Although Team Liquid's IGL won't feature in the roster's first match in the Valorant Masters Toronto, the Europeans "hope to resolve this quickly and have nAts join for the following match."

Team Liquid's next opposition after Bilibili Gaming is still unknown the Valorant Masters Toronto's group stage follows a Swiss format.
