After several teasers and weeks of speculation, a new Valorant agent called Waylay has been revealed. The official reveal occurred before the finals at Masters Bangkok, the latest VCT event.
Right now, Waylay is seen as an alternative to Jett. In fact, Waylay is probably going to become the new Valorant entry meta. Keep on reading to know more about her and her abilities!
Release date
Waylay is scheduled to come out at the start of Season 2025 Act 2. The new season will kick off on Tuesday, March 4 or Wednesday, March 5, depending on the region you play.
Once patch 10.04 arrives, players will be able to enjoy the new characters in all modes (Swiftplay, Unranked, and Ranked).

Role and nationality
Waylay joins the roster of Duelist agents, becoming the eighth character in this role. This will be the first time a duelist is added since the release of Iso in October 2023.
Following the trend of the VCT, the new agent comes from Thailand. The new reveal trailer makes that clear by taking place in the Southeast Asian country, and this is the second character coming from that region after Neon.
