Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is kicking off soon, with a new set of patch notes dropping before that. This will detail all the major changes and additions coming to Treyarch's title at the start of the season.

While we wait for the notes to be available, we can highlight a few things already set plus our expectations about the changes this patch might bring.

Release date

Season 3 for Black Ops 6 is scheduled to come out on Wednesday, April 2nd at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM UTC).

During the first 24 hours of the season, Black Ops 6 will run a free access period, meaning all players can enjoy the title and all its content even if they haven't bought it.

Users will be able to preload the update a few hours before its release to have everything ready for when the time comes.

What do we know about the patch notes?

The patch notes for Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone are not available at the moment, but we expect them to come out a day or two before the season starts.

In the meantime, we can speculate about the things that will be listed there aside from the additions already featured on this season's roadmap.

For starters, the notes should give us a detailed summary of all the weapon changes coming this season. Developers are constantly bringing weapon balance updates and this won't be the exception.

The notes should also highlight all the quality-of-life and UI changes coming this time. We can expect improvements dedicated to the multiplayer side and the Zombies modes.

Bug fixes are always present in the notes and since this is the start of a new season, we can expect a large list of fixes. Once the patch notes are out, we will update this article to reflect all the important information.
