Bungie has got the whole gaming community excited as their developer team has been working for the last few years on Marathon, a sci-fi PvP extraction shooter.
Made by the creators of Destiny and Halo, Marathon will be Bungie's first brand-new IP in over a decade. With stunning visuals and a mysterious storyline, it's fair to say players are desperate to know more about it.
However, with Marathon having stolen the show so quickly and unexpectedly, fans can't stop asking themselves the same question: when will Bungie's Marathon be released? Well, say no more: Bungie will release Marathon on September 23, 2025.
Additionally, Bungie has already announced that a Marathon Closed Alpha Test will take place in North America's servers starting from April 23, 2025.
Bungie first announced Marathon in May 2023, almost two years ago. The announce trailer has already gathered 21M plays on YouTube. Since then, Marathon has been kept a secret, and the truth is about to be unveiled.

Marathon is a team-based extraction shooter and the first completely new project from Bungie, the creators of Halo and Destiny, in more than a decade. Set on the mysterious planet of Tau Ceti IV, Marathon will see players inhabit the bodies of Runners, cybernetic mercenaries who have been designed to survive the planet’s harsh environments. While exploring the lost colony that once inhabited the surface, players will search for valuable loot including new weapons and gear.
