Warzone is celebrating its fifth anniversary by bringing back the map that started it all, Verdansk. The map's return was announced last year at the COD Next event but a specific date wasn't revealed at the time.
After months of rumors and speculations, we finally know exactly when the map is coming back. So if you are eagerly anticipating to drop back into one of its iconic POIs, we have all the intel.
When is Verdansk returning to Warzone?
Verdansk will return at the start of Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Activision confirmed the rumors on March 10th, the same day as the fifth anniversary since Warzone's original launch.
The announcement came through a special cinematic trailer where we can see all sorts of operating battling it out on the iconic map as you can see below:
Season 3 is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 18 at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT). It's unclear if Verdansk will replace Urzikstan as the only large map in the game or if both will be available.
New POIs
Popular leaker TheGhostOfHope not only revealed the map's release date, but also teased that the multiplayer map Fringe will be integrated.
Fringe is originally a Black Ops 3 map and has never been remastered or appeared on other titles as of now. The addition of this new map means this will be a new iteration of Verdansk, featuring new POIs such as this one.
