With Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone around the corner, Activision has finally released all the details about the new content coming this time.

From several new maps and weapons to a completely new Zombies map filled with returning elements from previous titles. We have prepared a summary with all the major additions.

Release date

Season 3 for Black Ops 6 is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 2nd at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT). At this time, Warzone will enter a 24-hour downtime period and players who don't own Black Ops 6 will be able to enjoy the title for free during this time.

Players will be able to preload the respective update a few hours before the season begins. The season should last around eight weeks, with a major update arriving in the middle to add all the Season 3 reloaded.

Trailer

A cinematic trailer for Season 3 was released and you can watch it below in case you haven't:

Weapons

Here are all the new weapons coming to Black Ops 6 and Warzone throughout the season:

Warzone Verdansk Kali Sticks

As you can see, all four weapons were originally featured in Modern Warfare (2019). The addition of these makes sense as it will coincide with the return of Verdansk to Warzone, the original map from the first iteration of the battle royale title.

Maps

The season will add five new maps to the multiplayer pool, with three being available at launch and the rest arriving with the mid-season patch. Here is the full list:

Black Ops 6 Firing Range overview
  • Barrage (Available at launch, 6v6, medium-sized)
  • Nomad (Available at launch, 6v6/2v2, small-sized)
  • Firing Range (Available at launch, 6v6, medium-sized)
  • Haven (Available at the mid-season, 6v6, medium-sized)
  • Signal (Available at the mid-season, 6v6/2v2, small-sized)
  • Blazetown (Available at the mid-season, Nuketown variant)

New modes

Three new modes are being added to the multiplayer and here is a short description of each one, although you might recognize two of them:

  • Sharpshooter (Available at launch): Flex your skills in this classic Black Ops free for all party mode where every Operator is assigned the same Loadout which changes every 45 seconds. Each cycle introduces a new Primary and Secondary Weapon from scoped Sniper Rifles to akimbo Pistols, plus a new Dedicated Melee weapon and Tactical and Lethal Equipment.
  • Demolition (Available at the launch window): Alternate between attacking and defending two bomb sites. The attacking team must destroy both bomb sites to win the round, gaining a time bonus after detonating the first site. All attacking Operators spawn with a bomb and respawns are active for both teams throughout the match.
  • Joint Operations (Available at the mid-season): Cycle through five core modes under a variety of changing effects, including double health, low gravity, visual hallucinations, and third-person POV.

Shattered Veil

This season brings a new round-based Zombies map called Shattered Veil. This will be the game's fifth map and here is the official gameplay trailer:

Perks and scorestreaks

Two new perks are being added to the multiplayer side and here is each one of them:

  • Close Shave (Available at launch): Automatically use your Dedicated Melee attack when you perform a weapon butt attack. Simply tap the Melee button to attack. Like the old days!
    • Slot 1, Enforcer
  • Vendetta (Available at the mid-season): On respawn, mark your killer’s last known position for a short duration. Get a bonus score for eliminating that enemy. The Vigilance Perk counters being marked by Vendetta.
    • Slot 2, Recon

On the other hand, just like previous seasons, one new scorestreak is being added. The scorestreak in question is the Death Machine, the heavy minigun that will cost 825 points to get. Players will be able to unlock this scorestreak through a future event.

Ranked Play updates

Two new features will be implemented into Ranked Play at the start of the season. The first one is retroactive SR adjustments, meaning if a player loses to a cheater and said cheater gets detected afterward, the SR loss will be refunded.

The second new feature is the ability to rejoin a match in progress. If a player disconnects in the middle of the game, they will have five minutes to reconnect to the match.

Teams with a disconnected player will receive a reduced SR loss if the player reconnects and ends up losing the game.

Other details

Here are other minor details about the new season so you don't miss out on anything:

Black Ops 6 Warzone Jay and Silent Bob operators
  • Jay and Silent Bob operators will launch at some point during the season.
  • R0-Z3 is a new operator based on the Roze operator from Modern Warfare (2019) and the first Warzone, and this will be part of the BlackCell reward for this season.
  • Hudson, the classic Black Ops character, will be added as a new operator.
