The long wait for Verdansk's return is almost over as Season 3 will kick off soon in Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The map will return alongside other elements from Warzone's first year that will appeal to those who were around during that time.

We have compiled all the information about the significant additions coming to the game so you can prepare accordingly.

Release date

Season 3 Warzone is now scheduled to kick off on Thursday, April 3 at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT). Before that, the game will undergo a 24-hour maintenance period, starting on Wednesday, April 2nd.

During that time, users will be able to enjoy Black Ops 6 for free and all of its content.

Players will be able to preload the patch a few hours before its release to get everything ready. The season should last around eight weeks, with a major update arriving midway through to add all the Season 3 reloaded content.

Verdansk's return

The biggest addition to the game coming this season will be the return of Verdansk, Warzone's first map back when the first iteration launched in March 2020.

The return was first announced back in August 2024 during the COD Next event, but its release date was officially confirmed with the following cinematic trailer:
