Season 3 of Warzone is getting closer, with anticipation running high now that the return of an all-time favorite has finally been confirmed.

We expect more details to arrive in the next few days as we get closer to the season's release. However, here is everything we know so far from both official sources and rumors/leaks.

Release date

Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, April 3 at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT). The season was originally planned to begin two weeks before that, but a delay was announced.

Players will be able to preload the patch a few hours before its release to get everything ready. The season should last around eight weeks, with a major update arriving midway through to add all the Season 3 reloaded content.

Verdansk's return

Probably the biggest addition to the game coming this season will be the return of Verdansk, Warzone's first map back when the first iteration launched in March 2020.

The return was first announced back in August 2024 during the COD Next event, but its release date was officially confirmed through the following cinematic trailer:

TheGhostOfHope, a well-known Call of Duty leaker on X (formerly Twitter) also mentioned the following details about the map:

Fringe map from Black Ops 3
  • Stadium interior will be accessible but the roof will remain closed.
  • Train Station interior will be closed.
  • The Train returns.
  • The fast-travel subway system won't be included.
  • The map Fringe from Black Ops 3 will be a new POI on the map.

Apart from that, we are still waiting for more details about the return of the first Warzone map. It is unclear if Verdansk will be the only large map available in the game or if Urzikstan will remain in the rotation.

Weapons

Reports from CharlieIntel and TheGhostOfHope indicate that the following weapons could be added to the game as part of this season's content:

  • Grau (Assault Rifle)
  • HDR (Sniper Rifle)
  • AMAX (Assault Rifle)
  • Kilo 141 (Assault Rifle)

As you can see, all of these weapons were originally introduced in Modern Warfare (2019) and were prominently used by players throughout the first year of Warzone in 2020.

Other details

Here are other minor details we can expect from the new season so you don't miss out on anything:

  • A new battle pass will be introduced.
  • We can expect at least one new collaboration with another IP.

Once the official details are revealed, we will update this article to add all the missing information.
