The Warzone Bounty Contest Public Event is set to add even more chaos to fast-paced Resurgence matches.

Arriving as part of the Season 5 update for Call of Duty's battle royale, the latest Public Event to arrive has the potential to increase the pace of play even further. Previous seasonal updates have seen the arrival of other Public Events but the Bounty Contest looks to have an even greater impact on matches once active.

With that said, find everything there is to know about the Warzone Bounty Contest Public Event in this guide revealing how it works when it's active.

Warzone Bounty Contest Public Event explained

When active, the Bounty Contest gives all squads a Bounty Contract to complete. When the first target is eliminated, the Bounty then switches over to the next member of the opposing squad being tracked. The Bounty Contest continues until the entire squad or your own team is eliminated.

With multiple kills to secure, the Call of Duty blog says the Bounty Contest 'should also expect to rack up some serious money at a seriously quick pace' which is promising for those who want to secure a loadout as fast as possible.

When the Bounty Contest is underway, the target will appear on the mini-map with a yellow circle tracking their location as they move around. The circle only tracks the area they're in, not their exact location so awareness will be key for all players looking to secure the kill.

When an opponent is tracking you, the team will appear on the right of the screen with the gauge signalling the threat posed. The higher the threat, the closer the enemies are to ending your match early.

The Bounty Contest has the potential to cause all-out chaos in Resurgence matches with teams attempting to secure bounties while opponents try to track them down at the same time.

Is the Warzone Bounty Contest on Urzikstan?

No, the Warzone Bounty Contest Public Event is exclusive to Resurgence matches on Rebirth Island, Fortune's Keep, and Vondel. There's every chance the Public Event does make its way over to big-map battle royale but for the time being, Resurgence is the only place to take part in the contest.
