Phoenix and Blade will be released to Marvel Rivals with Marvel Rivals Season 3, according to leaks released by the popular leaker XOXLEAK on X (formerly Twitter).
If that wasn't enough, the leaker also unveiled Marvel Rivals Season 3's official name. The game's third season will be called The Abyss Awaken.
While not much has been revealed about both Phoenix and Blade, the leaks indicate both characters will be Duelists. If that's the case, these will be the first Duelists released to Marvel Rivals since the launch of Torch, who was introduced to the game in February 2025, four months ago.
It's fair to say most people gravitate towards Duelists when choosing their characters. This is because Duelists often engage in fights. They must be played aggresively, and that's usually what keeps players mostly entertained — and not heal or support, although these are as important, if not even more important!
So far, no information has been released about how players will be able to use Blade and Phoenix in Marvel Rivals. However, as we already explained on our first look at a potential Blade release, we expect Blade to have melee attacks, as he's a sword user.
Meanwhile, unlike Blade, a leak about a potential Phoenix arrival in July 2025 was leaked by XOXLEAK on June 25. However, back then, they couldn't “confirm validity” of the information. Only two days later, the confirmation is here. Fortunately, we have more information about Phoenix's abilities; she should have access to Phoenix Shadow and Phoenix Ray, as well as the abilities Telekinetic Transfer and Psychokinetic Transfer.
