Overwatch 2’s Stadium game mode continues to be a fun and exciting new way to play Blizzard’s acclaimed hero shooter. With more heroes being added every season, climbing the ranks can be tough without the right build. Thankfully, we’ve already shared guides for Zarya and Sigma.
Now, here’s my recommended D.Va build for Overwatch 2 Stadium:
D.Va Missile Splash Build
This is something I cooked up after plenty of trial and error. The goal of this build is to make D.Va a serious threat at close range, thanks to her high-pressure Micro Missiles with massive splash damage.
While this is mostly a pure offense build, I’ve also included a few options to help with survivability, just in case the enemy team loves to focus on you.

D.Va Missile Splash Build

Ideal Endgame Build for my D.Va
The endgame aim is to turn D.Va into an oppressive force with her Micro Missiles. Before the enemy even realizes it, their health bars will melt in seconds due to the high splash damage. Focus on increasing D.Va’s ability power during the early game, then transition to the late-game skills I provided. You don’t need to invest in her Ultimate, Boosters, or Primary Fire. Just build up her Defense Matrix and Micro Missiles.
One downside: this build isn’t strong when D.Va is out of her mech, so you’ll need to be extra mindful of your positioning.
D.Va Missile Splash Build Code: YNC1P
Powers
- Legendary Loadout - This is the core of the build. It transforms D.Va’s Micro Missiles into six powerful rockets that deal 350% more damage and have 100% increased splash radius. Perfect for hitting clumped-up targets.
- Countermeasures - A hybrid between offense and defense. When D.Va uses her Defense Matrix, she automatically fires two Micro Missiles in the same direction. Great for staying offensive even while protecting yourself.
- Ultrawide Matrix - It makes her Defense Matrix last longer and with a bigger radius. You can swap this in for Countermeasures depending on the matchup. It’s better suited for defensive play when the enemy has too many hitscan threats like Soldier or Cassidy.
- Ignition Burst - Optional, but a fun addition. This lets D.Va leave molten lava on the ground when she activates her Boosters, dealing 80 ability damage. It can punish low-mobility heroes that linger too long on the field.
Early game builds
- Power Playbook - Essential for scaling your Micro Missiles early on. Adds 10% Ability Power.
- Shady Spectacles - Since you’ll be relying heavily on Micro Missiles, this is a solid pick. Grants 10% Ability Lifesteal, perfect for extended skirmishes.
- Custom Stock - If you’ve got spare credits, grab this for an additional 5% Weapon Damage and 10% Ability Damage. Helps D.Va feel more threatening in the early game.
- Mastermind’s Mitigator - A must-pick once it becomes available. It reduces Micro Missiles' cooldown by one second whenever Defense Matrix absorbs 200 damage.
Late game
- Macro Missile - This is where your Micro Missiles really shine. Boosts missile damage by 25% and gives them significantly increased knockback.
- Onslaught Ordinance - Adds more punch to your Micro Missiles by increasing Ability Power by 15%. Also extends missile duration and number of rockets fired.
- Mark of the Kitsune - A strong synergy pick. Since you’ll be frequently using Defense Matrix, Boosters, and Micro Missiles, this stacks extra Ability Damage whenever abilities are used.
- Champion’s Kit - Expensive but powerful. Grants 35% Ability Power, making D.Va extremely deadly in the late game.
Flex
- Plot Armor - Provides 65% damage reduction against beam weapons. Useful when facing Zarya or Mei.
- Chip-Damage Diverter - Grants 10% shield when D.Va deals damage to barriers, up to 200. Resets when she’s out of mech. Ideal against barrier-heavy comps like Sigma, Reinhardt, or Orisa.
- Nano Cola™ Nitrous - A lifesaver if you’re constantly getting knocked out of mech. Grants a four-second Nano Boost for more tankiness and impact.
- Solo Spec - A niche but valuable pick if you’re under heavy fire. Stacks up to 100 and gives an additional 10% boost when absorbing damage with Defense Matrix.
And that’s it. Of course, this build is always subject to change depending on the meta and updates. But for now, this is my most optimized Missile Splash build for D.Va. She can be incredibly oppressive in Stadium, but without hero swapping, she’s vulnerable to hard counters like Zarya and Mei. Still, if you know her kit and learn how to make her tankier, you’ll be just fine.
