Overwatch 2’s brand new game mode, Stadium, is getting more and more love as the game moves into its second season. In Season 17, Stadium gets additional characters added to its roster, and Sigma is one of the new heroes entering the arena.
For new Sigma players looking to try out his playstyle in Stadium, here’s my recommended Sigma build for Overwatch 2:
Sigma Rock Cannon Build
This is my personal new favorite Sigma build in Overwatch 2’s Stadium. The goal of this build is to turn Sigma into a hard-hitting offensive force using his Accretion ability. Don’t worry, despite his offensive edge, he can still protect allies using a variety of flex moves I’ll recommend.

Sigma Build in Armory

Sigma Build with more description.
The endgame for this build is to make Sigma a serious threat when his Accretion hits enemies directly. Of course, this means players need to have good mechanical skill to consistently land those rocks.
Sigma Accretion build code: PAV16
Powers
- Hyperloop – The first Power you should acquire. It reduces the cooldown of your Accretion ability after dealing damage with your Hyperspheres, allowing Sigma to throw rocks more often.
- Singularity – This Power boosts the value of Accretion by pulling enemies into its field after a successful hit. It also increases its damage by 25%.
- Apogee Alignment – A situational pick. If you’re facing dive-heavy comps like Tracer and Lucio, use this to help handle the pressure. It summons two Hyperspheres that orbit you and explode on contact.
- Mass Driver – The centerpiece of the Rock Cannon build. The strategy here is to place your Experimental Barrier, then fire Accretion through it. This increases the rock’s speed and boosts damage by 20%. It can often one-shot squishier enemies.
Early game builds
- Power Playbook – Crucial for getting value out of Accretion early on. It adds 10% Ability Power.
- First Aid Kid – A handy early-game perk that boosts your survivability by restoring health faster.
- Compensator – Helps you deal more damage with Sigma’s primary fire and makes you more of a nuisance in early fights.
- Velocity Vector – Once you’ve saved up enough Match Points, get this to increase the range of your Hyperspheres. It’s great for poking at longer-range threats like Ashe and Soldier.
Late game
- The Harness – Essential for maximizing Accretion’s potential. It enhances damage and increases explosion radius by 50%, perfect for punishing grouped enemies.
- Mark of the Kitsune – After using any ability, your next one gets a 25% power boost. Try pairing this with Kinetic Grasp followed by Accretion for extra damage output.
- Volatile Gravel – A core damage-scaling perk. It stacks a bonus four times whenever you use an ability like Accretion or Gravitic Flux.
- Antimatter – Buffs your Hyperspheres by increasing their explosion radius, helping you damage clumped-up enemies more effectively.
Flex abilities
- Beam Splitter – Use this against beam-heavy enemies like Zarya and Mei, since Kinetic Grasp can’t absorb their attacks. This perk reduces their damage instead.
- Synced Shielding – Great for poke-heavy scenarios. Standing behind your shield gives Sigma a damage boost, and stepping out gives a speed bonus.
- Containment Field – Ideal when enemies are dealing too much burst damage. It helps you survive longer and absorb more incoming hits.
- Maglev Multiplier – A bonus perk if you’re confident in your aim. It makes enemies float longer during your Gravitic Flux Ultimate and increases the damage they take from Hyperspheres.
And that’s about it. Keep in mind, this is just a personal Stadium build for Sigma. It might need adjustments depending on your team or the meta, but it’s what helped me climb early in the season. Of course, even the best build won’t carry you without a competent team.
