Overwatch 2’s Stadium is heating up with new heroes entering the arena. Sigma, Junkrat, and Zenyatta have joined the roster, and we’ve already shared a “Rock Cannon Build” for Sigma.

Now, let’s continue with our Stadium builds, this time featuring Zarya and her oppressive presence on the battlefield. Here’s my recommended Zarya build for Overwatch 2 Stadium:

Zarya Laser Love build

This is my go-to build for climbing the early ranks, and personally, it’s my favorite Zarya build. The goal is simple: charge Zarya’s Particle Cannon by soaking up enemy damage, then unleash a relentless laser that can melt anyone who gets in your way.

But it’s not all offense. I’ve also included survival-focused options so you can outlast enemies in extended fights.

The ideal endgame setup for my Zarya Stadium Build.

The endgame for this build is to make Zarya’s laser and bubbles absolutely devastating. You won’t need Ability Power, her alternate fire or Ultimate but instead, focus on building Bubble Energy and turning that into raw, punishing laser damage.

Zarya Laser Love Build Code: YYJ5Z

Powers

  • Lifelift - Your most important early-game Power. It increases your bubble size, letting you absorb more damage and charge your laser faster due to its size. More energy early means more pressure on enemies.
  • Pre-Workout - A solid secondary pick if you want to be tankier. Grants 15% weapon and ability lifesteal to help you stay alive during brawls.
  • Fission Field - Ideal for tougher late-game rounds. Gives an extra barrier to an ally within 1 meter, so it is essentially giving you two bubbles at once.
  • Piercing Beam - A must-have late game. This turns Zarya’s laser into a piercing death ray, letting you tear through clustered enemies.

Early game builds

  • Compensator - Boosts weapon damage by 5%, giving your laser more bite in the early rounds.
  • Plasma Converter - Grants 10% weapon lifesteal. Great for early sustain as long as you keep your laser focused on enemies.
  • Ammo Reserves - Extends your Particle Cannon’s ammo by 20%. A longer beam means more consistent pressure.
  • Hybrid Battery - Once you have the credits, sell Compensator and pick this up. It prevents your energy from dropping below 20, letting you keep the damage up even when bubbles aren’t hitting.

Late game

  • Bigger Beam - Increases your laser’s range by 20%. Great for dealing with airborne threats and pesky flankers like Genji.
  • Eye of the Spider - A pricey but powerful perk. Sell off your lower-tier abilities if needed. It boosts damage to enemies below 30% health, turning your beam into a finisher.
  • Protein Shake - Excellent against dive comps. It makes Zarya unstoppable when her barrier is active and adds knockback to her melee. Also grants 15% melee damage.
  • Superconductor - A defensive pick for when enemies become overwhelming. It gives Zarya decaying overhealth equal to 50% of the damage absorbed by her bubbles.

Flex

  • Blastproof Boots - Even if you’re not using her alternate fire, this helps against dive-heavy teams. You gain immunity to your own blast damage and knock back enemies hit by it.
  • Jumper Cables - If you’re struggling to stay alive, this instantly regenerates Zarya’s shields after activating her barrier.
  • Nebula Conduit - Makes Zarya more resilient in later rounds by reducing incoming damage by 15% and storing it temporarily. Also gives +50 health and +5% weapon damage.
  • Light Launcher - Perfect when enemies clump together. It reduces alternate fire ammo cost by 20%, scaling up to 60% depending on your magazine size.

And that’s about it. Keep in mind, this build works best if you understand Zarya’s core mechanics. You’ll need solid positioning and smart bubble usage to get the most out of it. And as always, a strong team makes all the difference as this build shines brightest when you’ve got teammates who know how to play around your strengths.
