Ninjas in Pyjamas qualified for the Siege X Esports World Cup 2025 after a 2-1 victory against Team Liquid.

The Brazilians had been one of the most consistent teams of the group stage with six wins and three defeats, which came against w7m esports, FaZe Clan, and LOUD.

After finishing in third place, only two points behind the Bulls, the ninjas took down Black Dragons in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals before falling against the Six Invitational 2025 champions. Fortunately for the shinobi, the team ended up securing a spot in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after their victory against the Blue Cavalry.

The ninjas’ performance against Team Liquid was really decent, despite losing the first map of the series, which was a maximum overtime loss on Lair. With SiegeGG ratings of 1.22 and 1.17, Diogo “Fntzy” Lima and Gustavo “Wizard” Gomes were the best players of the match – but it’s worth mentioning that the rest of players in NiP finished with ratings of 0.96 and above.

With this result, the shinobi haven’t only locked a spot to compete in the Esports World Cup but they have also secured 50 SI Points. Today, the team will play against w7m esports for a chance to secure a Top 3 finish, which would give the roster a shot at reaching the region’s grand final – and adding an extra 100 SI Points to their respective tally.
