How to unlock a Red Black Ice for free in Rainbow Six Siege explained

There's no doubt that Rainbow Six Siege's most iconic weapon skin is the Black Ice. Surely, R6 Share cosmetics have stolen the show in recent years; however, the Black Ice will always be the most famous skin in the game, even if it's not universal.

In Operation Silent Hunt, Ubisoft introduced colored Black Ices to Rainbow Six Siege. Including Pink, Purple, Green, and Red Black Ices, Ubisoft completely elevated the impact of the Black Ice concept in the game.

Until recently, players can only obtain colored Black Ice skins through the Premium Battle Pass: each season starting from Year 11 Season 1 includes two Black Ice Packs. Last season, however, Ubisoft added some colored Black Ices in Alpha Packs, making fans get a bit more excited about them. These skins didn't last in packs for long, though.

If you ever wanted to have a colored Black Ice skin, now is your chance. To celebrate Ubisoft's 40th anniversary, Rainbow Six Siege players can now claim a Red Black Ice for free the 5.7 USG. Follow the steps to claim it:

• Log in your Rainbow Six Siege account
• Go to Store
• Scroll down and click on Highlights
• Scroll down untill you find your Free Gift
• Claim your Free Gift

After claiming the Free Gift you will find your Red Black Ice for the 5.7 USG on your locker. You will be able to equip it to all operators who have access to the gun. Keep in mind that colored Black Ices are no universal skins.

We don't expect more colored Black Ices to be given out for free in the near future. However, we expect Ubisoft to give players more options to get their hands on more colored Black Ices. Only time will tell!
