GoNext Esports have won the ALGS 2024 Championship played in Sapporo, Japan. The European roster claimed the victory after winning two of the final three games of the Finals.

GoNext Esports showed great consistency throughout the whole tournament after a seventh-place finish in the first match and an eighth-place finish in the first Winners Match.

In the Finals, the European roster had a rough start to the series after only two top ten finishes in the first five games. However, after a seventh-place finish in game six, where they claimed nine kills, GoNext Esports got back on track with a match win on round seven. This allowed them to be match point eligible.

Unfortunately, on game eight, the team couldn't repeat the result of game seven and finished in thirteenth place with zero points. However, ENTER FORCE.36's win, who wasn't a match point eligible team, gave GoNext Esports a second chance; which they took.

Despite only getting four kills, GoNext Esports became the last standing team in the arena in game nine which crowned the European roster as new Apex Legends world champions.

For the first time ever an European mix of players has won the ALGS after DarkZero Esports and TSM won 2022 and 2023's editions. The closest thing to GoNext Esports' victory was SCARZ's championship in 2021 when the tournament was split into regions.

Following today's GoNext Esports win, the European esports organization has claimed USD$600,000. Meanwhile, the Top 5 is completed with Alliance, Team Falcons, Shopify Rebellion, and Virtus.pro.
