The Brazilian powerhouse LOUD have signed Kaan "Leader" Taşpınar as the team's Valorant head coach. The 24-year-old comes from a one-year stay in G2 Esports as G2 Gozen's head coach.
While coaching the samurai, the Turk collected back-to-back VCT 2024 Game Changers EMEA stage wins and a third-place finish at the VCT 2024 Game Changers Championship as G2 Gozen were knocked out by MIBR following a 0-3 defeat.
Since LOUD joined the Valorant competitive scene, the Brazilian powerhouse has been one of the best teams in Americas and the whole professional circuit. In 2022, LOUD collected a second-place finish in the Valorant Masters Reykjavík 2022 and won the Valorant Champions 2022.
While 2023 wasn't as successful, the team became Americas champion and reached second place at the VCT 2023 LOCK IN São Paulo and third place at the Valorant Champions 2023.
Unfortunately for the Brazilian powerhouse, 2024 was the beginning of the team's downhill. The roster's fourth-place finish in the Valorant Masters Madrid was followed by visa issues that prevented the squad from preparing properly for the upcoming challenges. Since then, the team has become a mid-low table team struggling to follow the pace set by teams like Sentinels, G2 Esports, Leviatán, MIBR, and others.
With the Brazilian community hungry for more glory and LOUD being the region's favorites, it's fair to say Leader has been given a lot of responsibility now. After parting ways with Douglas "dgzin" Silva and Arthur "tuyz" Vieira, it's hard to know what to expect from a squad that currently consists of only three players. Will LOUD be able to get back on track following the upcoming changes?
