Gen.G Esports have qualified for the Valorant Masters Toronto playoffs after back-to-back 2-0 victories against MIBR and Paper Rex.

Gen.G Esports first victory in the competition came against the Brazilian-majority roster. Despite the game being even on paper, the golden squad managed to beat MIBR after only conceding six rounds, with the series including 13-5 and 13-1 victories on Sunset and Haven.

Meanwhile, against their Pacific fellows Paper Rex, the South Koreans' initial 13-11 win on Ascent was followed by another one-sided display that ended in a 13-3 victory on Icebox.

Overall, the South Koreans' form so far in Toronto has been outstanding as they have finished the play-in stage with a round difference of +32, more than double than Sentinels' round difference after beating the Chinese sides of Wolves Esports and Bilibili Gaming.

Despite losing the VCT 2025 Pacific Stage 1 grand final against Rex Regum Qeon, the South Koreans are one of the favorites to win the Valorant Masters Toronto as the roster includes three of the Valorant Masters Shanghai champions in Kim "t3xture" Nar-ra, Kim "Karon" Won-tae, and Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom. If the golden squad is able to keep this level of competition, the South Koreans will likely be one of the strongest contenders in the final stages of the bracket due to the great mix of experience, skill, and momentum.

Tomorrow, the first set of elimination matches will take place as the EMEA powerhouses Team Heretics and Team Liquid will play against Wolves Esports and MIBR, respectively.
