Geekay Esports and Team Secret will face off in today's first Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 quarterfinal clash. The winner of the match will join DarkZero Esports and FURIA in the semifinals and will have to play against either FaZe Clan or Team Liquid Alienware.
So far, both Geekay Esports and Team Secret have surprised the viewers as they reached the event's Top 8 despite being two of Europe's lowest three seeds. Meanwhile, Team Falcons (1st), Virtus.pro (2nd) and FNATIC (4th) failed to do so.
Despite heading to the tournament as the current champions, Team Secret is the team that have surprised fans the most. After losing three of the five players that lifted the trophy last year, the team still managed to break in the tournament's Top 8. It happened after beating Team Falcons against all of the odds.
Team Secret's opponent today will be Geekay Esports, who have yet to lose a map in the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. The European mix kicked off their run in the event with a maximum overtime win against Geekay Esports, which was followed by a 2-0 win against the now semifinalists FURIA.

Head-to-head record
Team Secret and Geekay Esports have met twice this year. The record between both teams is currently even, as Team Secret claimed an 8-6 win during Kickoff whilst Geekay Esports secured a 7-3 win during Stage 1.
It's also worth mentioning that Team Secret beat Geekay Esports during last year's Belgium Masters. However, we decided to not include this match in their head-to-head record as both rosters look completely different now.
The path to today's match
Geekay Esports was the first team to secure a playoff spot after their wins against ENTERPRISE Esports and FURIA. They finished as Group B's best top seed above FaZe Clan. Overall, they were the second-best top seed, only behind Wildcard.
Meanwhile, Team Secret's path to the event's quarterfinals was a bit tougher. The European mix started their run in Paris with a 3-7 defeat against the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions. Then, they were handed a 1-7 defeat on Bank against All Gamers. They eventually bounced back against the Chinese roster to reach the Lower Bracket Final.
Finally, Team Secret surprisingly reached the event's Top 8 after a 2-0 victory against the BLAST R6 Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 1 champions Team Falcons.

Geekay Esports
Geekay Esports hasn't had a player that has stood out above the rest; all of their players currently own ratings between 1.13 and 0.99.
The team's best player has been Dawid "Gruby" Marciniak. Curiously enough, the Polish player used to play for Team Secret. Today, he will face off against his former head coach Marlon "Twisted" Mello.
Interestingly, Gruby and his teammate Harvey "Eupor" Hawkins will face off against his former Team Heretics teammates Daniel "Flexy" Esmail and Oscar "Oscr" Deacon.
Team Secret
Team Secret's best two players at the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026 have been Yanis "Mowwwgli" Dahmani and Drillz, with SiegeGG ratings of 1.22 and 1.19, respectively.
Despite the Frenchman's numbers being slightly higher, we think it's worth noting Drillz's statistics. The British player is making his international debut in Paris, whilst Mowwwgli is already an experienced player. The rookie currently averages the joint-fourth highest KOST in the event.
Overall, Team Secret have been surprisingly good despite their lack of international experience. Reaching the semifinals would be a huge step forward for the roster. The players could head back to Stage 2 with realistic chances of making the BLAST R6 Major Osaka.
