Geekay Esports qualified for Rainbow Six Siege's Esports World Cup 2026 after taking down Rebels Gaming following 7-3 and 8-6 wins on Chalet and Kafe Dostoyevsky. Their victory against the African-majority side saw Geekay Esports joining Team Secret, Team Falcons, Virtus.pro, and FNATIC as the five sides that will represent the region in Paris, France, in next month's Esports World Cup.
So far, Geekay Esports' season has been a rollercoaster of results. Although they had a very negative start to the season with a ninth-place finish in Kickoff, the team has managed to bounce back following the signings of Harvey "Eupor" Hawkins, Dawid "Gruby" Marciniak, and Evan "Yoggah" Nelson.
Overall, Geekay Esports is a very ambitious project. Including two imports in Yoggah and Gabriel "AsK" Santos, the pressure of delivering results has been there since the very beginning. In their first attempt together, the team has managed to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026, which has a massive weight nowadays in the industry, especially when it comes to esports organizations based in MENA.
The team's victory against Rebels Gaming also means that Geekay Esports will have at least ten teams competing in the Esports World Cup 2026 which puts them in a solid position in the EWC 2026 Club Championship.
