DarkZero Esports' coach Seth "Callout" Mik announced the creation of a charity tournament called Gamers for Life. The tournament's goal is to visibilize what's happening in the Russian and Ukranian war as well as gathering economical funds for charity purposes in the region, more specifically "supporting civilian evacuations in Ukraine."
The funds raised will be given to the Charity Fund "Haystov," defined as a " dedicated Ukrainian civilian evacuation organization operating in frontline and near-frontline regions." You can read more about it here.
Gamers for Life will only include professional and Tier 2 players, as well as some of the most highly-recognized voices in Rainbow Six Siege's esports community. Keep on reading to find out more about the competition!
How to donate
People interested in donating can do so here. The goal set by Callout is to reach USD$7,500. At the time of writing, USD$3,681 have already been put together.
As an incentive to encourage people to donate, Callout announced that the top five donations will be able to choose between:
- One of three signed DarkZero Esports shirts
- One on one coaching session with the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champion Callout
- A ranked session with four DarkZero Esports players
Dates
Gamers for Life will take place on June 27 at 1 PM EST. It will include an USD$500 prize pool, sponsored by Optima Human Performance.
