Rainbow Six Siege release new edition of MUTE Protocol

Rainbow Six Siege have released a new edition of the highly-popular time-limited game mode MUTE Protocol. This edition will be playable from June 23, 2026, until July 14, 2026.

Like in previous editions, MUTE Protocol follows an arcade system called Arm Race. Here, players must unlock all the weapons before reaching the golden hammer, which is used to destroy the Brain's Case.

In order to unlock weapons, players must secure kills. Each kill unlocks the following gun. However, when dying, players go back one weapon. This creates situations where players who have unlocked almost all weapons can fall to the first tiers if they die multiple times in a row.

MUTE Protocol is a game mode with unlimited Respawn. This means that, if a player dies during the round, it will respawn aleatorily a few seconds later. The first team to win two rounds, wins the match!

MUTE Protocol is a special event because it's played in a futuristic version of Tower. The South Korean map doesn't have good popularity in the Rainbow Six Siege community; however, this changes in this particular time-limited game mode.

MUTE Protocol is also popular for its futuristic bundles. This time, Ubisoft have brought past bundles, as well as new ones for Rook, Castle, and Dokkaebi, as well as weapon skins for selected guns.

As in previous time-limited game modes, MUTE Protocol also has a Mythical Memento Weapon Skin. This one is for Castle and Pulse's UMP5. When triggering the weapon inspect animation, players create a small portal that leads to MUTE Protocol's Tower. Don't worry, nothing bad happens!
