After many speculations, leaks, and even in-game teasers, the next Fortnite battle royale season has been confirmed. The revelation happened at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan, where a trailer for the new Galactic Battle season was showcased.
As expected, this season will be filled with Star Wars content, adding more characters we already know from the beloved franchise and also Fortnite characters with a Star Wars spin.
The teaser confirms both Sheev Palpatine and Jar Jar Binks will be added as new skins, however, the latter will be introduced as Darth Jar Jar, a popular fan creation that originated many years ago.
Ahmed Best, the actor behind Jar Jar Binks in the prequel trilogy and several animated projects, who also played the Jedi knight Kelleran Beq in The Mandalorian, appeared on stage at Star Wars Celebration to talk about the new season. He revealed that players will be able to fly X-Wings in the new season, confirming these (and probably other ships) will be added as new vehicles.

The Galactic Battle season is set to begin on Friday, May 2nd, and will last five weeks, ending on Saturday, June 7th. The season will have an episodic format, with a new episode kicking off every week and bringing more content.
