While Chapter 6 Season 2 about to end, Epic Games is obviously already preparing what's to come next with season 3, which will lean heavily into Star Wars.
May is usually the month when Epic Games brings content from a galaxy far, far away. However, this time they're doing a full season, the first-time they've done a Star Wars-themed season in Fortnite.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 start date and downtime
Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 6 is scheduled to start on May 2nd. This can be confirmed by looking at the end date of season 2 in the battle pass page.
Star Wars is taking over Fortnite again
Of course, expect a lengthy downtime, which could extend beyond the originally intended start time if things go completely south. Epic Games confirmed downtime will begin on May 2 at 2AM ET.
Rumors suggest Chapter 6 Season 3 will be incredibly short, lasting only 35 days. Players will definitely have very little time to grind everything the battle pass will offer but expect Epic to adjust the number of pages in it if the length is confirmed. Once we have confirmation, we'll update the guide accordingly.

The loot pool will receive some significant changes. We don't have a proper look at the entire loot pool, however, we do know that the first day of the season will only feature Star Wars weapons. These are:
