Lightsabers might not become pickaxes anytime soon, but they're still incredible melee weapons in Fortnite. Chapter 6 Season 3 handles them a little differently.
So, let's not dilly-dally any longer: here's how to get yourself a lightsaber in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3.
Lightsaber locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3
There are two different ways to get your hands on a lightsaber. Well, technically three, but more on that later.
Find a Hologram
The first is by finding a Hologram of a Jedi or Sith roaming around the Chapter 6 Season 3 map.
In my experience, Hologram spots will start appearing on your map a few minutes after you've landed. They'll be near you, so expect the entire map to be populated by them.
During my playtime, I found both Jedi and Sith Holograms around the Resistance Base. You can easily spot them via your map.
Keep an eye on your map
Do note that the Holograms appear to be randomized, as one game spawned only Jedi Holograms and the second was all Sith. Also, as you'd expect, the Sith Hologram logo is a red one instead of blue.
Once you find one, either Rey or Darth Sidious will be waiting for you to give you a lightsaber and powerful Jedi or Sith abilities.
- Rey will give you the Force Push ability
- Darth Sidious will give you the Force Lightning ability
Will you join the Dark or Light side?
Both will also grant you the ability to Force Jump when you have your lightsaber equipped
Defeat Darth Vader Samurai
Samurai Vader is one of the bosses roaming the Fortnite island. You'll find him at the Vader Samurai's Solitude POI, one of the four new locations added to the map with Chapter 6 Season 3.
Taking Vader down will give you an exclusive lightsaber with a unique ability: Force Saber Throw.
Loot it from an enemy
The third option, as always, is to take it away from an enemy who already has one. Important to note: acquiring a lightsaber without using a Hologram or earning Vader's weapon means you won't have access to any Force abilities.
You need to talk to Holograms to earn these, so if you want to make the most of the sabers, that's you're only option.
