A new in-game message on the Call of Duty HQ app on Xbox went live several hours ago, revealing the first gameplay screenshots for Black Ops 7 and details about new game modes.
Judging by the descriptions, the message was supposed to go live only for playtesters participating in a private test session across the weekend. However, it was accidentally pushed for all Xbox users.
The message had four different screenshots, with two of them giving fans a first look at the gameplay. Even though the message was quickly taken down, users were quicker and shared it on social media.
The gameplay screenshots show a few of the default operators coming with the game, and one of them even has a drone robot, insinuating that this could be some sort of utility or scorestreak in Black Ops 7's multiplayer.
The descriptions also leaked a few details about two new modes coming: Overload and Skirmish (20v20). In the first one, two teams of six players fight to control and deliver an EMP device to the enemy's HQ to score.
In the second mode, players compete to complete objectives in a large-scale map. The interesting part about this mode is that players will get to use wingsuits to fly around the map and move faster, similar to what we briefly saw in the game's first teaser.
The game's pre-orders are still not available, which means players are awaiting another trailer or reveal event soon. Once that happens, we will make sure to bring you all the information about Black Ops 7's release.
