Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 1 Super Week: Everything you need to know

Who's going to make the most out of this week's action?

Solotov Team Falcons

The Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 1 is heading to its most critical moment: the super week. For those unaware, the super week includes three playdays, one more than a regular week. Considering that four playdays have already taken place, the 15 matches that will be played in the course of the next three days will shape the region's final group stage standings.

On paper, by the conclusion of this week, we will have a rock-solid idea of what teams could lock the top four spots, what teams could realistically reach the playoffs, and even mathematically eliminate a bunch of rosters.

Without further ado, here's what you need to know about the Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 1 Super Week:

Virtus.pro and G2 Esports likely to extend their leads

Virtus.pro and G2 Esports currently top the standings with 12 and 10 points, respectively. They are the only unbeaten sides in the league; therefore, they are the strongest and most consistent rosters in the competition.

This being said, after only four matches played, the mathematical difference between them and the rest isn't big yet. The three upcoming games could create a huge gap, though.

In the case of Virtus.pro, the team will play against Team Heretics, Team Secret, and Shifters, who have a combined amount of 8 points—two thirds of Virtus.pro's total number. Given the Bears' recent results, it wouldn't be strange if we saw them running over their opponents, adding nine more points to their number.

Meanwhile, G2 Esports has a similar run: the samurai will play against Rebels Gaming, Twisted Minds, and Team Secret. Logically, these are slightly harder, especially Twisted Minds. However, similar to Virtus.pro, G2 Esports are expected to comfortably win at least two of these three.

Big three tests for FNATIC

There's no doubt that FNATIC is an esports powerhouse. Unfortunately, this hasn't been reflected in the brand's Rainbow Six Siege performance. In fact, the team is widely known in the scene for its lack of consistency and big number of transfers, as they have been active in seven of the last eight transfer windows.

Finally, in what's FNATIC's third year in Europe's Rainbow Six Siege top flight, it feels like the orange esports brand could qualify for the first time for an international event since the Six Invitational 2020. For context, FNATIC didn't qualify for RE:L0:AD; they got invited.

FNATIC head to the Europe and MENA League 2026 Stage 1 Super Week in third place with nine points after winning three of the four matches they have played so far. Their super week will begin with a crucial match against Team Falcons, who are in fourth place two points behind the orange team, and will be followed by matches against Rebels Gaming and Twisted Minds. Beginning the week with wins against Team Falcons and Rebels Gaming would be massive buff for the team's hopes of qualifying for the Esports World Cup 2026.

Regardless of how the week could finish for FNATIC in terms of results, it will be a big test for the team. It will give fans a more realistic idea of where the ceiling actually is, especially considering they have yet to play against Team Falcons, G2 Esports, and Twisted Minds. Their first and so far only game against a BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City-bound team, Virtus.pro, ended in a 1-7 defeat.

Team Falcons' opportunity to bounce back

We mentioned that today's game between FNATIC and Team Falcons will be a crucial clash; not just for the orange team but also for Team Falcons.

It's fair to say that the team have looked highly inconsistent since Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu's departure. Although Marc "jume" Steinmann has had some great individual displays since he joined the team, the players seem to be far from their best versions. In fact, Josh "Yuzus" Pritchard (1.32) has been the team's best player so far in Stage 1 with the rest of players in the team averaging SiegeGG ratings of 1.00 and below.

However, except for Team Falcons' shocking 6-8 defeat against Rebels Gaming, the other results are pretty much understandable. The team beat Twisted Minds (7-5) and Team Secret (7-2) before falling to G2 Esports. The positive run about these results is that the team have already played against three teams that qualified for Salt Lake City; meaning their remaining games are against sides that, on paper, are below the Falcons' overall squad level.

Team Falcons' three Super Week matches are very winnable. The team's game against FNATIC will be followed by clashes against Geekay Esports and Team Heretics, who currently are outside of the league's Top 6. In other words, this is Team Falcons' best shot at bouncing back and even catching up on Virtus.pro and G2 Esports.

It could get even worse for Team Secret

If Team Falcons' Super Week calendar may be the easiest, this is just the opposite for Team Secret. The European mix, which currently sits at the bottom of the standings with zero points after four consecutive regulation losses, will play against Twisted Minds, Virtus.pro, and G2 Esports in the next three days.

Three more regulation defeats for Team Secret would put the final nail in the team's coffin: by then, they would likely be out of the playoffs race.

However, when it comes to Team Secret, we must remember that the European mix are already qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 as they were invited to the tournament as last year's champions. If the team make the most out of this learning experience, we could see a very different lineup playing in Paris.

Fight to avoid the bottom of the standings

Realistically, it's very difficult for Team Secret to bounce back. However, there's a heated fight for the fifth and the sixth places, as there are only three points between Twisted Minds (5th) and Geekay Esports (9th).

Team Heretics undoubtedly has the hardest schedule as the Italians will have to play against Virtus.pro, Shifters, and Team Falcons. Meanwhile, Shifters and Geekay Esports have crucial runs as theirs mostly include matches against teams that are also in their battle. In fact, later today, Shifters and Geekay Esports will clash in the second game of the playday.

It's also worth noting Rebels Gaming's week as they will play against G2 Esports, FNATIC, and Geekay Esports. Although the samurai will be a hard nut to crack, the African-majority lineup has a golden chance to bounce back by the end of the week if they manage to secure two wins out of their final two matches.
