EDward Gaming have announced the signing of Jaxen "Bapn" Dunwell. The Australian player recently parted ways with ENTERPRISE Esports.
At the same time, EDward Gaming have also signed Su "OnJuly" Qianying, who parted ways with the team in May 2026 shortly after the conclusion of the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City.
The arrival of Bapn in EDward Gaming means the 21-year-old has been reunited with his former ENTERPRISE Esports head coach Kim "MinGoran" Min-geun. Both competed together during Year 10 as they played in multiple international events, including the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026, the BLAST R6 Major Munich, or the Six Invitational 2026.
In the last three months, Bapn was ENTERPRISE Esports' second-best player with a SiegeGG rating of 1.13 in 13 played matches. He averaged a K-D of 175-134 (+41) while maining Deimos and Azami.
Before posting this article, we asked EDward Gaming's coach MinGoran about what will happen to the team's in-game communication. The South Korean head coach said that the team will continue communicating in Mandarin Chinese and English. It will be interesting to see how Bapn and the team adapts to this signing.
EDward Gaming's team has been growing throughout the whole season. The team first qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City after finishing in second place at the CN League 2026 Stage 1 Kickoff. Unfortunately, due to visa issues, the team couldn't play with their best player, Cheng "Direction" Yabing, and used Team Secret's Noah "noa" Urwitz as a stand-in.
A few months later, EDward Gaming stole the show in China as they surpassed the region's favorites All Gamers and won the CN League 2026 Stage 1. At the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026, the team was handed two harsh defeats against Virtus.pro and FNATIC. Nevertheless, it was a great learning experience for the team.
The arrival of Bapn brings more experience to the team and it considerably improves the overall quality of the roster.
Finally, EDward Gaming have also announced the return of OnJuly. He was EDward Gaming's second-best player during Kickoff with a SiegeGG rating of 1.12. With One Coin, OnJuly averaged a SiegeGG rating of 1.10 during the CN League 2026 Stage 1. The Chinese player competed in One Coin under the orders of MinGoran, who was his head coach in the Chinese team.
At the time of writing, it's hard to say how the team will look like. EDward Gaming decided to keep Zhou "Mo5quito" Wenzhi and parted ways with Yang "BottomLove" Yuhao, meaning the roster currently consists of six players. This isn't surprising as EDward Gaming's Stage 1 roster also included six players. We expect Bapn and OnJuly to be added into the starting lineup, with Mo5quito being placed in the team's bench. Adding Bapn could be a challenge considering the language barrier which may take some time; therefore, having five Chinese players in the team could prove crucial.
