Want to know how to get tier 5 gear in Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate? Then, we got you covered.
With the most recent expansion, Bungie introduced brand-new tiers of gear and weapons, with tier 5 being the most powerful ones. Each tier adds a different benefit to your gear, so having the top-of-the-line armor will make a big difference in harder content.
That being said: how do you actually get tier 5 gear in Destiny 2? Let's find out. While you're here, consider checking out how to get the Graviton Spike exotic hand cannon.
How to get tier 5 gear in Destiny 2
To access regular tier 5 gear, you must reach the Power Level soft cap of 500. PL has been reworked. With the Edge of Fate, every Guardian starts at 10PL. Players won't be able to reach 500PL until the Ash & Iron major update releases later this season.

There's nothing like a good tier 5 god roll
You'll have to work your way through the regular Power Cap of 200, and then move on to Seasonal Bonus Power, which is now tied to your gear and weapons rather than the Artifact.
Tier 5 will be by far the most coveted gear in Destiny 2. It will come with enhanced selectable perks and a unique animated skin similar to the foil weapons we saw with the Into the Light DLC.
