Danish brands Astralis and Bazoom initiate new chapter after announcing their partnership

Danish esports powerhouse Astralis unveiled their commercial partnership with Bazoom, widely known as a global leader in link building services.

This is Astralis’ first new partnership since the esports organization was acquired by Fusion Esports Group, a Danish investor group led by Jacob Lund Kristensen and Jonas Gundersen.

Bazoom’s platform, which connects brands with nearly 100,000 media outlets worldwide, strengthens Astralis’ “international presence” amid the team’s journey back to the top of Counter Strike’s esports scene.

Jacob Lund Kristensen, CRO and Co-Founder of Astralis, expressed his excitement for this partnership:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Bazoom as a partner. Their global ambitions and strong digital expertise align perfectly with our own focus on performance, credibility, and international growth. Together, we’ll push boundaries and strengthen both brands — building on what makes the combination of business, digital entertainment, and esports culture truly world-class.”

Nicolai Klausen, Bazoom’s CCO and Founder, shared feelings. He also showcased the pride it creates in both sides to be able to establish a partnership between two ambitious and talented Danish brands, labeling it as “extra rewarding.” Nicolai also expressed his hopes of helping Astralis to bring more trophies to their cabinet.

According to Astralis’ announcement, the Danish esports powerhouse stated the partnership would be visible across their platform and will continue to evolve in the coming months. Therefore, it’s likely we see Bazoom in Astralis’ social media channels as well as in the players’ shirts.

Meanwhile, Bazoom’s announcement states the partnership means much more for Astralis than a simple logo placement. “It’s about aligning with a brand that values analytics, consistency, and impact as much as any top team on stage.”

Astralis are known as one of Counter Strike’s most colossal teams. The brand’s most relevant victories came between 2017 and 2019, when the team won multiple top flight international competitions, including an outstanding flawless run at IEM Katowice 2019, among many other competitions.

In December 2018, Astralis became the first esports team to win an Intel Grand Slam. Back then, this honor was only given to teams that would win four S-Tier events organized by ESL or DreamHack Masters. Such a feat awarded Astralis with an extra USD$1M and, since then, only four more teams have replicated it.

Six years after Astralis’ last big win in Counter Strike, the new ownership, Bazoom, as well as future partners will hope the Danish powerhouse can climb up back to the top. As in everything in life, goals can’t be accomplished individually – and Astralis’ partnership with Bazoom is a first step to the right direction.

Astralis’ first appearance in Counter Strike’s esports scene after the brand’s partnership with Bazoom will happen in next week’s PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, where the lineup will play to secure a share of the competition’s prize pool valued at USD$650,000. Future international endeavours include IEM Chendgu 2025 and StarLadder Budapest 2025, which offer prize pools of USD$300,000 and USD$1,25M, respectively.
