Although the attention will soon move towards Call of Duty 2025 as the Black Ops 6 post-launch year continues, a new rumor about the 2026 title has surfaced.
The report comes from TheGhostofHope, a popular leaker on X (formerly Twitter) who has previously delivered accurate information about the Call of Duty franchise.
The new game is currently titled "Modern Warfare 사", which is a way to write 4 in Korean. This is because North and South Korea will reportedly play a significant role in the campaign. This title is still subject to change, especially since we are so far out from its official reveal.

The leaker also explained that the story will take place after the events of MWIII, with Makarov and Konni Group doing false flag operations to start World War 3. The three major factions involved in the story will be Task Force 141, SAS, and the Republic of Korea army.
As expected, Infinity War is the main studio leading the game's development, and the report also states that we will see futuristic tech, but the title "will stay mostly modern."
Although we are still so far out from hearing any official news about the game, we now have something to look forward to while we wait for the first official teasers/announcements from Call of Duty 2025.
