While we wait for the Season 17 trailer, Blizzard published a new blog post where Scott Kennedy, a member of the hero design team, teased a few of the hero changes coming with the new Overwatch 2 season.
For starters, the damage role passive is getting a buff, with the healing reduction increasing from 25% to 30%. Kennedy mentioned that this should help damage dealers "better contend with the amount of healing that support Heroes are churning out."
Bastion will be getting one of the more significant changes, as the charismatic omnic is set to receive a reduction in its model. The hero's size will be reduced by 10%, ultimately reducing its hitbox and making it a harder target to hit.
The blog post includes the following image, giving us a look at the new Bastion model after the size reduction:

These are the other changes mentioned in the blog post coming at the start of the season:
- Junker Queen's Commanding Shout will prioritize ally overhealth.
- Perks like Pharah’s Helix Shields and Lifeweaver’s Cleansing Grasp will receive quality-of-life improvements.
We will have to wait until the patch notes for Season 17 come out to have the full list of changes. In the meantime, you can take a look at this article to read about everything we know about the new season thus far.
