Following the release of the Overwatch 2 Season 17 trailer, Blizzard also posted the season's roadmap, which confirmed that the next collaboration will be with the popular toy brand G.I. Joe.
This will be the second collaboration with Hasbro, the popular toy brand, as the game previously ran a crossover with the Transformers in Season 11.
The trailer also gave us a first look at this collaboration, as we can briefly see Genji sporting a Snake Eyes skin in one of the frames (see image at the top of this article).
As usual, we expect the collaboration to introduce several new skins based on characters from the G.I. Joe universe. Storm Shadow, Cobra, and Duke are among other characters we could see, but nothing is set at the moment.
All these cosmetics are expected to be available through the in-game shop, as that is the usual format. The crossover could also bring a special set of challenges or even a special mode, with free rewards that any player can unlock.
Blizzard didn't reveal a release date for this collaboration, so we will have to wait for more information. Given that this wasn't discussed in the season's official post on the game's website, we strongly believe this crossover is set to arrive with the midseason patch.
