M80 has unveiled the organization's decision to acquire Beastcoast, expanding the brand to DOTA 2 and Pokémon, as well as staying in Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, and Counter-Strike 2 competitive scenes.
According to the team's official statement:
In Counter-Strike 2, M80 qualified for the ESL Pro League Season 21 after winning the ECL S48 North America.
Unfortunately, in Valorant, the organization decided to part ways with the team's previous roster after finishing in second place at the VCT Ascension Americas 2024 after a 2-3 defeat against 2GAME Esports. It was the roster's second consecutive grand final defeat, after losing in 2023 against The Guard. Following today's announcement, it seems like M80 will continue competing in Valorant.
Regarding Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, the organization hasn't picked up Cloud9 Beastcoast's roster as the BLAST R6 Major Manchester champions' core is now looking for a new team. The three players left are now looking for a team to represent in Boston, Massachusetts, as they will compete at the Six Invitational 2025.
