Dplus have announced the signings of four Brazilian players as well as the return of Park “PJH” Jae-hyun as the team’s analyst to compete in the upcoming APAC League.
The roster will include two Six Major champions in José “Bullet1” Victor and Juliano “Levy” Andrade as well as the former Six Karma duo Kaique “Faallz” Moreira and Nicolas “NearZ” Fresnel. Finally, the lineup has been completed with the addition of Dyjair “Mity” Soares, who has been moved from a coaching to a playing position.
Unfortunately, the lack of players in South Korea’s Tier 2 has made it very difficult for teams to build competitive rosters without investing in foreign talent. If that wasn’t enough, the language barrier is a problem that’s hard to solve, which ends in South Korean players struggling to adapt to English comms.
Such a lack of talent in the region has also seen organizations constantly exchanging players between them. For instance, the current BNK FEARX and PSG Talon rosters include three former Dplus players each.
Last season, Mir Gaming invested in international talent, with the South Korean roster adding Byron “Blurr” Murray and Jake “Sloth” Brown to the squad. While the level of the team improved, the roster was far behind PSG Talon, BNK FEARX, and Dplus.
