It's a big blow for Oceania's Rainbow Six Siege esports ecosystem.

The Chiefs have announced the organization's decision to part ways with their Rainbow Six Siege roster. The announcement has been made exactly two weeks before the start of APAC's Six Invitational 2026 Last Chance Qualifier.

The Australian lineup was one match away from qualifying for the Six Invitational 2026 in the APAC Regional Finals played in Sydney, Australia, less than a month ago. Unfortunately for the squad, after back-to-back 2-1 victories over CAG Osaka and ENTERPRISE Esports, the Australians were knocked out by FEARX.

The Chiefs' departure of the Rainbow Six Siege esports scene also means that both Affiliated Teams in Oceania have now parted ways with Ubisoft's FPS. The first one was Gaimin Gladiators following the conclusion of the first split of the season.

According to Jack "Jigsaw" Gillies's post on his personal X account, the roster's core is sticking together despite the departures of Jai "Quiz" Riddle-Browning and Mitchell "Sageon" Sage due to "unforeseen circumstances."

At the moment, the former Chiefs team includes the previously mentioned Jigsaw, as well as Brendan "Brendo" Sage, Issac "Wettables" Moore, Andreas "Kyro" Kyriacou, and Nathaniel "Naate" Williams. Therefore, Quiz and Sageon have been replaced by Kyro and Naate. The first had already played for the Chiefs in the past as he was part of the lineup that played at the BLAST R6 Major Montreal.

Meanwhile, Naate has moved to the roster and will likely combine his coaching tasks with his new player position. His last participation as a player for the Chiefs was one month ago in the team's 0-2 defeat against Team Anios at REKT - THE GAUNTLET. Before that, he hadn't played for almost a year as his final contribution for the team as a player was at the Oceania Six Invitational 2025 Open Qualifier.

The Australian roster is now looking for an organization to represent at the APAC Six Invitational 2026 LCQ and beyond. The tournament will begin in two weeks and will include CAG Osaka, Daystar, ENTER FORCE.36, NoCap R6, Team Anios, and the Mainland China teams of All Gamers and Four Angry Men.
