Season 4 of Warzone is only a few days away, and Activision has finally revealed the upcoming additions. The season brings changes to Verdansk that weren't in the original version, along with other elements like new game modes.
We have prepared a summary with the important details so you can read about them and make the necessary preparations.
Release date
Season 4 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to come out on Thursday, May 29th at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM BST).
PC players will be able to preload the corresponding update a few days before. On the other hand, the preload for console users will begin a few hours before launch.
The season will last around eight weeks, with a significant patch arriving in the middle to bring all the Season 4 Reloaded content.

Verdansk changes
The season will implement several changes to Verdansk, to the Downtown point of interest in particular. A new building called The Overlook is being built where the SKN building currently is.
This new skyscraper will be significantly taller than any other building in the city, bringing several new areas to explore both around the area and inside the building.
Players will be able to explore the outside of the building, as there will be perimeter security checkpoints with construction materials, and the inside as well, with several floors and rooms with interior access.
Two cranes will be outside the building, one at the north and the other at the south, and players will also be able to hop on those. Ziplines are also present to help users reach the Overlook from other buildings' rooftops.
Weapons
The following five new weapons are coming with the season to expand the current armory:
- LC10 (Available at launch): Unlockable through the battle pass.
- FFAR 1 (Available at launch): Unlockable through the battle pass.
- Essex Model 07 (Available in-season): Available as a reward for an event.
- Olympia (Mid-season): Available as a reward for an event.
- Pickaxe (Mid-season): Available as a reward for an event.
Modes
Three game modes will be added throughout the season, and here is the list with a description of how each one will play out:
- Clash (Available at launch): The mode from the first Warzone is back, and two teams of 52 players will face each other in a match of Team Deathmatch or Domination. The maps for this mode are areas of Verdansk around the following POIs - Quarry, Boneyard, Farmland, and Promenade (East). To increase the spectable, the mode will now feature events and power ups.
- Havoc Royale LTM (Mid-season): Drop into a specially themed area of Verdansk with your Loadout. Every new gas circle activates a different modifier. Adapt fast to sudden changes as Havoc modifiers may impact you, the environment, and even the gameplay rules.
- Resurgence Casual (Mid-season): A Resurgence match that includes bots.
Perks, scorestreaks, vehicles, and Field Upgrades
The season introduces several new gameplay elements to the battle royale, which may alter how the matches go. Here is the list of new additions separated by category:
- Contract
- Search and Destroy (Mid-season): The team will be tasked to plant a bomb at a Buy Station, and on detonation, they will earn some high-tier loot. If another team defuses it, they will earn a Fire Sale for all buy stations.
- Field Upgrade
- Door Barricade (Mid-season)
- Killstreak
- Hand Cannon (Mid-season)
- Care Package (Mid-season)
- Perk
- Loot Master (Mid-season): Only as loot in Resurgence and Plunder. Increases the amount of loot you find while opening caches.
- Vehicle
- ATV: Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 (Launch)
Other details
Here are other details we haven't mentioned, so you don't miss out on anything relevant:
- A collaboration for the upcoming Ballerina movie will take place, and Eve Macarro, Ana de Armas' character in the movie, will be added as a new operator. An event based on the movie will take place from June 5th to 12th.
