Black Ops 6 Season 5: Everything you need to know about the new content

Season 5 brings content for both multiplayer and Zombies

Black Ops 6 Zombies crew

Season 5 is next for Black Ops 6 and Warzone players, and Activision has revealed everything coming to both games. From the content we usually get every season, to a brand-new Zombies map to close out the game's storyline and pave the way for the next title.

We have gathered all the important details so you can read about all the new content and prepare accordingly for the new season.

When does Black Ops 6 Season 5 come out?

According to the battle pass timer in-game, Season 5 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 7th, at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM BST).

An update with all the new content will come out on that day, and PC players will be able to preload it one or two days before launch. On the other hand, the preload for console players should begin a few hours before the season drops.

If the format remains the same, the season should last eight weeks, with a midseason patch dropping in the middle to add a second batch of content.

Here is the launch trailer for Season 5, which gives us an overview of all the major additions coming to both games:

  • Cranked Demolition (Mid-season): Make Demolition even more explosive with Cranked mechanics thrown into the mix! Alternate between attacking and defending two bomb sites while managing your Cranked timer and chaining eliminations to stay alive.

  • Blueprint Gunfight (Mid-season)

New Zombies map: Reckoning

To cap off the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline, Season 5 brings a new map called Reckoning. The map takes place in the Janus Towers area near Liberty Falls, and will feature a completely new wonder weapon and new enemies.
