Black Ops 7 was revealed with a surprise teaser that showed up at the end of the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Shortly after the reveal, Activision confirmed that the game's campaign can be played in either solo or co-op mode.
A day after the reveal, user Vondyispog on X (formerly Twitter) leaked even more details about the campaign. According to the leaker, users will play as a nameless soldier who has been handpicked into David Mason's squad.
Players will also be able to customize their characters, but this feature won't be as detailed or deep as it was in campaigns like Black Ops Cold War or Black Ops 3.
For the co-op mode, the user mentioned that, in some missions, the party leader will take the role of David Mason while the second player controls another member of Mason's team.
The leak also mentioned that the safehouse feature, which has appeared in Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 6, will be back, along with the possibility to upgrade equipment and gear.

All this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as it comes from a source not as popular as other leakers. However, other reliable accounts like CharlieIntel have shared the info, indicating it could be true.
