There is no question that Battlefield 6 will feature a battle royale, as the mode was officially teased during the multiplayer reveal event. Although the mode hasn't been shown in action, some details have already leaked before.
However, a 10-second video has started circulating on social media, which gives us our first look at gameplay of the battle royale mode. The video starts with a top-down camera view, passing through what appears to be one of the map's POIs, before fading to black and then cutting into gameplay in first-person view. This last part shows us a soldier walking inside a destroyed house, probably located in that same POI.
In both parts of the video, we can see some sections of the map with missing textures, indicating this comes from an early build and probably not what players will see during the upcoming Battlefield Labs private tests for the mode.

Leaker Temporyal on X (formerly Twitter) previously leaked that the map will be based on the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. The vegetation and luxury houses from the video are further proof that the map will take heavy inspiration from the city of Angels, as these are common in high-end neighborhoods like Beverly Hills.
While there is no date as to when the mode will be officially showcased or where the private tests are taking place, players can prepare to participate in the upcoming multiplayer beta to test out their skills and try the new title before launch.
The battle royale is rumored to be a free-to-play experience, and we expect it to be ready either when the full game launches or shortly after. Battlefield 6 is scheduled to come out on Friday, October 10th, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store).
